Admission Testing

All qualified applicants who do not hold a bachelors degree or higher are required to complete a computer based assessment known as the Accuplacer Tests. These tests are used by the Admissions Committee as part of the admissions process, as well as to evaluate basic skills in the areas of sentence skills, reading comprehension and mathematics. If the applicant is admitted, they are also used to match students with appropriate courses and academic support services. Labouré College Accuplacer testing appointments are scheduled weekly in the morning and afternoon.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled testing appointment.  Late arrivals will not be allowed in the designated testing area and will need to reschedule their testing appointment.
  • A photo ID is required in order to sit for the Accuplacer test.
  • Applicants normally complete Accuplacer testing within a three hour time block.  An applicant requiring special testing accommodations must make their requirements known to the Admissions Office when scheduling their examination appointment.  Written documentation from a medical professional describing the suggested accommodations must be submitted to the Admissions Office prior to the Accuplacer test.
