Coding Certificate

Coding professionals work in hospitals, clinics, physician offices, research, government, insurance companies and other businesses. Graduates of the coding certificate program often consider pursuing further certification by the American Health Information Assocation as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) or the American Association of Professional Coders (CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P) by taking national examinations.

Career courses must be taken in conjunction with their clinical components in the sequence shown. Many students choose to enroll in General education requirements prior to the start of their career sequence since they are offered throughout the academic year. A program of study that fits your personal and academic needs will be developed for you to meet the requirements for the program.
