Does Labouré College have dorms?

No, we do not have dormitories. Labouré is a commuter college.

Where can I park?

There is no on-site parking available to students before 3:15 p.m. Limited parking is available on nearby streets. The Office of Student Affairs suggests taking public transportation when feasible.

To plan your trip on public transportation, go to http://mbta.com/ and use the rider tools to find the best route.

After 3:15 p.m., students may park in the Carney Hospital garage for a fee of $2.00.

What are Labouré’s immunization requirements?

Based on Massachusetts law and college policy, students may not be eligible to register for classes until they have provided documented proof of the following:

• Two doses of MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine given at least one month apart beginning at or after 12 months of age or laboratory evidence of immunity
• Two doses of Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccine, laboratory evidence of immunity, or a reliable history of chicken pox disease
• A three dose series of Hepatitis B vaccine or laboratory evidence of immunity to Hep B
• One booster dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) given within last ten years
• PPD (Tuberculosis Test) is required each year with a negative result; or if a positive result, a normal/negative chest x-ray is required

How can I find out is classes are cancelled for weather related conditions?

Announcements that classes are cancelled because of inclement weather will be broadcast over the following radio stations:

• WBZ 1030 AM
• WRKO 680 AM

Cancellation will also be announced at 617-296-8300 extension 4444 and posted on the Blackboard course site.

What is Labouré’s cell phone policy?

Cellular phones, pagers and other electronic communication devices are to be completely “off” during class, labs and clinical experiences. Exceptions may be made by individual faculty in urgent situations; at such times, a cellular phone or pager should be put into a “vibrate” mode to eliminate audible emissions. During an examination, all devices are to be completely “off”.
