After a long hiatus, we are pleased to share that the Labouré Alumni Council is back!

Earlier this academic year, and with the cooperation and support of the College administration, the Council was created, developed bylaws, and elected officers to serve. It is with great pleasure we introduce ourselves as officers: President Margie Lawless ’68, Vice President Angi Walsh ’73, and Secretary Maureen Calnan ’95. The Council is currently working on plans for the rest of 2024, and welcome all alumni to contribute their thoughts, ideas, and support during this formative year.

Unprecedented: Nursing in a Pandemic

Podcast and #CareForNurses

Produced in partnership with William James College, the podcast Unprecedented: Nursing in a Pandemic is part of the #CareForNurses campaign. The #CareForNurses campaign offers self-care tips and mental health advice nurses can put to use in time for their next shift.

The podcast pairs front-line nurses with mental health professionals to discuss coping strategies. Gabe Mahoney, FNP ’03 is featured discussing processing loss and grief, and Shaina Curran, RN BSN ’16 participate in episodes on stress, anger, and potential PTSD among COVID-19 nurses.
