Health Information Technology

The professional certificate program in health information technology (HIT) has been designed for individuals who have already earned an associate or higher degree from an accredited college.

The program prepares the graduate to be a valued member of the health care team. Field experiences in a number of hospitals in and around Boston, complement the theoretical work in classrooms and in the simulation laboratory. Quality improvement approaches and the use of information technology are important components of this program. A sample program of study is listed below.
