Dr. Snyder to Offer First Honors Lecture at CRACS Convocation

Dr. Joshua Snyder, Lecturer in the General Education department at Labouré College, will offer the first honors lecture at the inauguration of the new series CRACS: Celebrating Research, Accomplishments (Creative), and Scholarship. Dr. Snyder holds a Ph.D. in Theological Ethics from Boston College, an M.A. in Systematic Theology from Villanova University, and a B.A. in both Theology and Philosophy from St. Peter’s University.

Dr. Snyder’s lecture will be on the topic of “Love in the Pursuit of Excellence” and will explore how the virtue of love is essential to cultivating a life of excellence. He asserts that, “in pursuing excellence we must ask ourselves three questions: 1) what am I passionate about, 2) what am I good at, 3) and what does my community need. When our passions and talents match the needs of the community we are able to sustain a life of excellence.” After the lecture on Wednesday, April 21, a celebration of faculty accomplishments will be held in the Library and light refreshments will be served. Faculty who have published scholarly research or displayed an artistic achievement in the past two academic years will be showcased. The entire College community is invited to join us for this annual event.
