Medical Insurance

Medical insurance is offered through Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan HMO. The cost of premiums is shared by the employee and the College. Currently the College pays 93% of Individual coverage and 86% for Individual+1 and Family coverage.

Dental Insurance

Delta Dental covers preventive and diagnostic services at 100% and most major services at 80%. The cost of premiums is shared by the employee and the College. Currently the College pays 85% of individual coverage and an equivalent amount toward Individual+1 and Family coverage.

Vision

National Vision Administrators (NVA) provides savings on eye care purchases and is available through several provider locations participating within the NVA network. Premiums are deducted after-tax.

Group Life Insurance and AD&D

Labouré College provides life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage to employees who work 20 or more hours per week and have completed 30 days of service. There is no cost to the employee. For 2018 Mutual of Omaha will be our Basic Life and Long Term Disability partner. Effective January 1, 2018 the basic life benefit is now 3x Annual Earnings to a maximum of $500,000.

Long Term Disability

Labouré College provides disability coverage to employees who work 30 or more hours per week and have completed one year of service. There is no cost to the employee. Income is 60% of the employee’s monthly base earnings to a maximum of $10,000 after a 90 day elimination period.

Retirement Plan

All regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible to enroll immediately in the Labouré College Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) Plan. Pre-tax deductions in an amount you choose will be automatically deducted from each paycheck. All regular full-time and part-time employees with at least 1,000 hours or 12 months of service are eligible for the College matching funds and can enroll in the Labouré College Direct Contribution (DC) Plan. The College will make additional contributions to your retirement savings, matching your contributions at 50% up to a maximum match equal to 3%, 4%, or 5% of your base income, depending on your age and years of service.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Medical Flex Spending:  This account allows employees to contribute up to $2,550 per plan year, deducted from their pay in pre-tax dollars into an account to use for out-of-pocket medical, dental and vision expenses.

Dependent Care Flex Spending:  This account allows employees to contribute up to $5,000 per plan year, deducted from their pay in pre-tax dollars into an account to use for dependent care expenses.

Vacation, Sick and Personal Days

Vacation:  Full-time regular administrative staff accrue 4 weeks of vacation per 12 month period. Part-time regular administrative staff (16 hours per week and above) accrue on a pro-rated basis.

Sick:  Full-time faculty earn 12 hours of sick leave per month for each month of employment. Full-time administrative staff earn 5.54 hours of sick leave every two weeks. Part-time administrative staff (16 hours per week and above) earn time on a pro-rated basis.

Personal Days: One Personal Day is available in the first year of employment and two Personal Days are available each calendar year thereafter for full-time faculty and regular staff working 16 hours or more per week.

Tuition Remission

Tuition Remission is available to full-time employees (40 hours per week) who have completed the introductory period and part-time employees with five years of current service at the time of application. The spouse and dependents of full-time employees are eligible for tuition remission after the employee has completed 6 months of service. The employee who receives tuition remission agrees as a condition of remission to remain in the employ of the College for a period of six months following completion of the courses for which remission was received.

Tuition Reimbursement

Tuition Reimbursement is available to full-time faculty or staff members actively employed at Labouré College who have completed one year of full-time service before the program of study begins.

Eligible full-time employees will be reimbursed for approved tuition costs up to a maximum of $5,000 in a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). Depending on the length of the program, reimbursement may be approved for up to three consecutive fiscal years. The College will also consider lightening the workload of faculty and staff members who are in degree programs and at the point of writing dissertations.

Employee Assistance

Mutual of Omaha offers 24/7 free private and confidential resources to employees and their immediate family members for evaluation, counseling, information and referrals to help solve work and personal issues. By law, all contacts with LifeScope are strictly confidential. These services are open to all concerns including social, family, psychological, alcohol, drug, job, health, legal, stress, parenting or financial issues. Licensed professionals will help evaluate and designate an appropriate course of action, and then provide assistance for resolution of the problem or concern.

Working Advantage

Working Advantage is a discount network which allows employees to save up to 60% on ticketed events and online shopping. Through Working Advantage employees can save on: movie tickets, theme parks, ski tickets, Broadway shows, sporting events, hotels and travel, health and fitness, museums and city passes, merchant gift certificates, online shopping and much more.
