Scholarships & Grants

These are types of aid that do not have to be paid back. Scholarships and grants are two types of financial aid that do not need to be repaid. Scholarships and grants may come from various sources.

Below, we’ll cover what scholarships may be available through Labouré, and what other sources you may consider when looking for scholarships.

Students are responsible for completing the necessary paperwork for any scholarships offered through Labouré. For questions about scholarships, you can email financialaid@laboure.edu

Alumni Tuition Benefit

Associate degree graduates of Labouré who return to complete an additional associate degree receive a scholarship for 50% of the cost of required courses. This benefit cannot be combined with any other scholarship or discount.

Labouré College of Healthcare Scholarship Program

These scholarships are available each Fall for release in the following Spring semester through the Office of Communications and Development. Students must meet eligibility requirements as described on the application.

Applications are made available through the Student Newsletter, by email to student email accounts, and online at my.laboure.edu during the application period.

Student Assistance Fund

The application for this scholarship is opened for each semester where funding is available. Notifications will be sent to students via their student email when the application is open.

Minimum criteria (for example, minimum credits completed in a student's current program, and/or GPA requirements) are set by a committee depending on funding available. Students will be informed of the minimum criteria when applications are available for the semester. Limited funding is available for this scholarship.

Labouré College of Healthcare Scholarship for Steward Health Care Employees

Students in degree or certificate programs who work at least 16 hours per week at a Steward Health Care facility receive a scholarship for 25% of the cost of their courses.

Degree students who work between 8 and 15 hours each week receive a scholarship for 10% of the cost of their courses.

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other Labouré College of Healthcare scholarship or discount, and verification of employment is required. The Scholarship for Steward Health Care Employees only applies to students in the ASN, Radiation Therapy, and NDT programs.
