Health Insurance

Massachusetts requires that all students enrolled in nine credits or more each semester have health insurance. If you are taking nine or more credits, you will be automatically enrolled in Labouré's student health insurance plan, administered through Gallagher Student Insurance. Estimated insurance rates are:

  • $2,973 for a full year of coverage
  • $1,982 for spring and summer only
  • $991 for summer only

If you have comparable health insurance already, you can fill out an online waiver form during the enrollment waiver period. You only need to submit a waiver once a school year. Waiver periods are as follows:

  • August – Covers the full academic year (September-August)
  • December – Covers spring and summer semester only (January-August)
  • May – Covers summer semester only (May-August)

Due dates and payment options

You can either pay in full or sign up for a payment plan to cover your balance, including any balance that remains after your financial aid*.

If you choose to pay in full, you can pay online at my.laboure.edu or in person at the Welcome Center. We accept cash, check, money order, Master Card, Visa, or Discover.

Payment due dates are:

  • August 15 for Fall semester
  • December 15 for Spring semester
  • April 15 for Summer semester

*If you do not complete the necessary paperwork for financial aid, pay in full, or sign-up for a payment plan by the due day, your courses may be dropped.

Books

Book costs vary by program. On average, you should plan to spend around $500 to $1,300 a year. For an idea of the requirements for your program, check out our virtual bookstore.

For convenience, we offer an extended line of credit to allow Labouré bookstore charges to be applied to your student account. About a month before the start of a semester, you will get an email explaining how to buy books online using this line of credit. The charges added to your student account simply need to be paid before your next registration period.

All costs are subject to change at the discretion of the college without notice.
