Labouré Launches Online Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration

Labouré College of Healthcare (LCH) launched its latest healthcare career program, the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. The healthcare administration degree is a flexible, fully online bachelor's completion program designed to help healthcare professionals take their careers to the next level. The program can be completed in less than two years and is designed for students with an associate degree or prior college credit to earn their bachelor's and prepare for a managerial position in healthcare.

“Labouré has specialized in healthcare education for 130 years. We have seen many of our alumni move from direct patient care into leadership roles. The bachelor's degree in healthcare administration provides nurses and healthcare workers with the foundation necessary to advance into the business of healthcare,” said Lily Hsu, EdD, President of LCH.

Students in the healthcare administration program choose one of three specialty tracks based on industry demand: long-term care, practice management, or generalist concentration. Each track provides students with the legal, financial, and managerial foundations necessary to become leaders in today’s healthcare industry.

“Healthcare is evolving. The U.S. patient population is aging, diversifying, and growing. Labouré’s program in healthcare administration prepares graduates to manage the healthcare teams and organizations that will care for this population,” reported Bill McGinley CNHA, CAS, CALA, FACHCA EMERITUS, retired CEO of the American College of Health Care Administrators, and current Labouré board member.

“The demand for medical and health service managers is projected to grow 32% from 2021 - 2031, with a current average salary of $101,340 yearly." (Bureau of Labor Statistics

To celebrate the launch of the healthcare administration degree, the College is offering $1,000 scholarships to students who apply by December 31, 2022.
